I am not Alice but here is Wonderland

We cross the galaxies, cross different planets, and get to Earth . Alice lives with her family happily and she has friends such as the tree and the birds which has draw them. she has a happy family.
She figures out that the people on the other side of the window are different .
They are like wild animals in her sight .
Watching people is her habit till war starts and the city is bombed.
She lose her family and the city is destroyed and Alice tries to save the only living leaves of the tree but she fells in the space and her painted birds save her and finally ,she finds herself on the “little prince” plane.

Blue

Blue is a short film about the struggle of being different.

Blue is about the societal struggle to accept differences as a quality, rather than a nuisance. The idea of this film was inspired by my own experience as an immigrant who came to USA to pursue my dream In filmmaking.
although Blue is very much influenced by my own experience, I still believe the core message is relatable for others who shared the same challenges.
“Blue” can be the story of immigrants, women, people of color, minorities, and all the people out there who are being excluded or rejected from the society.

Maryam Farahzadi

I was born in Tehran, Iran. I’m an animation filmmaker based in Los Angeles, holding MFA in Film and Animation, from RIT, Rochester, New York, and BFA in Graphic Design from University of Tehran.

Currently working as an Animation Artist at SprintRay marketing team.

Prior to moving to Rochester from Iran, I worked as a character designer and animator in Pouya Negaar animation studio for 4 years. In Rochester, along with pursuing my degree, I worked as Teaching Assistant in department of Film and Animation in RIT. 

I have won numerous awards internationally for my first animated film called “The Role of Each Fret” which is written, directed, and animated by myself. 

“Blue” is my second successful project which was produced in 2017 and was screened in more than 30 film festivals internationally.

STUDIO ZHAZHA
We are a small animation studio from Siberia. The city of Novosibirsk, where we live, is located approximately in the middle of Russia, on the Trans-Siberian railway between Moscow and Vladivostok.

Studio ZHAZHA is still very young – we are only 3 years old. There are four of us. In our daily life we do different things — Olga Posukh is a researcher in biology, Julia Levykina is an entrepreneur, Anton Dushkin teaches animation and Irina Korotaeva is a business coach and a scrum master. However, we really wanted to make our childhood dream come true — create animated films. And now we are doing it.

We decided that we all like the lo-fi format for our films. We like bringing our strange ideas to life. In the process, the idea is filled up with new meanings and twists.

We like to tell stories so that the viewers have the opportunity to participate in the creation, to contribute their own meaning. We always try to leave a place for this.
Sometimes, we like to show ordinary situations in an unusual light. It helps to see them in a new way or sometimes just notice them.

We shoot in stop-motion technique, shifting each frame. Each character is thoroughly constructed.

Everyone in our studio is a universal master and performs several roles. Irina likes to generate ideas, organize the process and animate. Julia draws, animates and is really good at making hand drawn animation. Olga creates concepts of scenes and characters, generates ideas, draws, edits films. Anton controls the animation process – how the characters move, and also edits films.

Kristine Joi Gonzales

Kristine Joi Gonzales was born in a small barangay in Tanay, Rizal in 1994. Growing up in an urban place, surrounded by trees and mountains, it was not surprising that she developed a great sense of appreciation and love for the awe-inspiring yet unassuming beauty of arts and nature. As a kid, she liked to draw landscapes and make figures on the dirt. Almost always, she could be found outdoors, playing hide-and-seek, piko, and patintero with her sisters and cousins. She also liked to try to sing and dance. Although, even after years of practice, she could not find her rhythm if her life depended on it. Now at 25, Kristine is currently taking her Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Arts, major in Animation in University of Makati. Merging her interests with technology, she enjoys creating 3D images, with focus on objects and vehicles, as well as digital illustrations of human anatomy and portraits. She is also a huge anime fan, and hopes to pursue her career in 3D animation in a game company. Secondborn in four children, Kristine is an ambivert. She is not into parties and other gimiks, but she does like to spend time with her closest friends.
