Maria Zozaya (Co-Director)

Maria Zozaya studied History in the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), there was awarded with the BA prize and the PhD Extraordinary Prize for doctoral dissertarion in History (UCM). She also received the Real Maestranza de Caballeria de Ronda Award (RMR, 1999); the Spanish Social History Society Research Prize (AHS, 2007), and Villa de Madrid Award Antonio Maura (2008). She studies leisure and sociability spaces. She had several research grants held at the National Council for Spanish Research, CSIC (1998-2008), a “Juan de la Cierva” Postdoctoral research contract (Valladolid´s University, 2008-2011), and a FCT Postdoctoral Grant to do research (University of Évora, since 2013). She has given many conferences and has written five books. She was a jury in the international film Festival “La Fila” (Valladolid).
Nicola Schiavottiello (Co-Director)

Nicola has worked as a graphic designer in London and got a degree in Computer Visualization and Animation at Bournemouth University (UK). He worked for a while in the videogames and 3d animation industry then he worked as a virtual historical and landscape reconstruction developer at the University of Stirling (UK), under the Virtual Landscape Centre. In 2006 he got an MSc in Computing Archaeology (Spatial Technologies) at the University of Southampton (UK) where he also worked also in various prospection, excavation, and documentation archaeological projects. In 2009 he joined the Radiopast project where he worked for 3d documentation, and 3d reconstruction, a field archaeological technician and 3d applications developer for the Museum of Ammaia (PT).
He is the co-founder of the Heritales – International Heritage Film Festival, a project which aims to bring cultural documentaries to the masses and explores a new concept of cultural heritage communication through cinema and other art forms. Under this project, he also organizes masterclasses for adults and children in film production and animation. Since October 2022 he has been collaborating with the AEC (Agrupamento de Escola da Caparica) under the project KinoCaparica a cine-club and production film laboratory.
At the moment he is a research fellow at the University of Brighton under the Centre for Digital Skills in Visual and Material Culture where together with his team he develops courses in digital skills to work with data and open research methods in the Arts and Humanities.
He continues to investigate Cultural Heritage Interpretation for the public, digital heritage, and digital storytelling.
Takis Sarantopoulos (Program coordinator)

Takis Sarantopoulos was born in southern Greece and now lives in southern Portugal where he earns his livelihood as an archaeologist-museologist and curator of exhibitions. He is involved in many cultural and heritage activities within the Borough of Evora. He is a passionate screenwriter and produces short films and documentaries on intangible and tangible heritage. It was Juri of the film festival Cine-eco directed by Lauro António and took part in the committee of the FIKE Film Festival

Fernando Mendes (Technical Director)

Fernando Mendes has worked in recording, editing, and mastering sound since 2004. His enthusiasm for music accompanies him throughout his life, studying music, being part of bands, and leading him to his decision to leave his university career. Attended university in Évora, first with a Water Resources Engineering course, later Computer Science and Engineering course, which did not end with dedicating his professional vocation to music- He studied audio production techniques at the ISAM school in Montemor-o-novo. Already devoted to the area of music, he taught the discipline of the physics of sounds at the professional school “Ofício das artes” in Montemor-o-novo. Since 2003, it has operated more than 1000 live concerts in several European countries such as Portugal, Spain, France, Holland, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, and Czechoslovakia: in auditoriums, small rooms, or music festivals. He has recorded sound for documentaries and short films. Due to his interest in languages, he carries out translations into the Portuguese language.

Vicenta Gisbert Caudeli

Doctor in Educational Sciences from the University of La Laguna in 2017, Graduate in oboe from the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid. Master in Neurosciences for Teachers. Director, coordinator and teacher of the Musinnova Musical Education Project (2013-2021), a pioneer project in early musical stimulation and experiential methodologies in Tenerife.
She is currently an Assistant Professor at the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM) in the Interfaculty Department of Music of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. From 2020 to 2022 she has been Academic Coordinator of the University Master’s Degree in Musical Pedagogy, Coordinator of the Pedagogy area of the Music Degree and mentor at the International University of La Rioja (UNIR), where she began working in 2018.
She is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Ibero-American Journal of Education, Editorial Board of the journal Estudios Bandísticos, editorial board and reviewer of ARTSEDUCA, Electronic Journal of Education in the Arts; and Review of European Studies (Canada).
Almudena Martín Pérez

Graduated in Architecture from the E.T.S. of Architecture of the University of Seville (2009), graduate in Scenography from the E.S. of Dramatic Art of Cordoba (2013). She has an official M.A. in Live Performance Arts (USA) and a M.A. in Teaching (USA), and is currently studying for a M.A. in Architecture and Historic Heritage (USA – I.A.P.H.). She has taught in the Higher School of Dramatic Arts in the field of Scenography, F.P., Baccalaureate and E.S.O. in the field of Science, Technology and Drawing. Secretary of the Association for the Defence of the Industrial Heritage of Cordoba.
Currently a doctoral student, she is an integrated researcher member of CIDEHUS-UÉ. She is developing her thesis in the research line of Creative Reuse of Industrial Heritage (CIDEHUS-University of Évora | IUACC-University of Seville). She is interested in developing interdisciplinary projects that combine science, technology and art. She has developed, among other projects and competitions in the field of architecture and heritage (2005-2020). Scenography projects (2012-2018). Map of scenic resources in the city of Cordoba (2013). Collaboration in the project for the documentation of the industrial heritage of Cordoba (2021).
Rocío Royo
(Spain)
Cultural manager and law graduate with training in the fields of cultural management, art and social intervention, accessibility and quality. In 2016 she created Espacio C from where she designs and coordinates, for various public and private institutions, events, festivals and meetings where the community feels protagonist, generating close spaces of emotion and exchange of cultural, patrimonial and artistic thought, with deep respect for the creative processes and their impact on people. Its line of action is based on the analysis and respect for the environment with the commitment to contribute to society through sustainable, equal, accessible and inclusive work.
She has been organising in Robledo de Chavela (Madrid) since 2018 ‘Dragones de Robledo, Festival de Artes y Patrimonio’, endorsed within the European Year of Cultural Heritage in 2018 and supported with Next Generation funds in 2022 and 2023. She currently lives in San Fernando, Cádiz, where she is developing different projects, including the enhancement of Las Salinas as a cultural landscape.
