Rodrigo Lima primarily works as an editor of many Brazilian films like Arábia (2017), by Affonso Uchôa e João Dumans and Belair (2010), by Noa Bressane e Bruno Safadi, both of which screened at New Horizons IFF. He began working with Júlio Bressane in 2006 when he edited Cleópatra (2007) and since then has been the editor of all his films. In 2009 he directed the short film Para Eva (For Eva), the film was shown on the Fuori Orario program of the Italian TV channel RAI 3. O espelho (The mirror, 2015), his first feature as a director, had its world première in Locarno. In 2019, he co-directed Nietzsche Sils Maria Rochedo de Surlej with Bressane and Rosa Dias. The film has its world première at IFFR.
Lucas Parente has a master’s degree in Documentary Films at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and in Philosophy at the University of Vincennes – Saint-Denis (Paris 8). Filmmaker and writer, his films cross genres and formats like video art and fantastic cinema. Among his works are the “Letter Number 1”, winner of the Roman Gubern Film-Essay Award (2009), Satan Satie or Memoirs of an Amnesiac (2015), awarded at the 16th Mostra do Filme Livre (2017), Calypso and Tupinambá Lambido (2018), awarded at the 7th Art Festival of Miami
