Bio: Richard Oliver Jr. is a phenomenal award winning Artist, Producer and Filmmaker. He’s been featured in press articles with Top Shelf magazine, Voyage ATL magazine, NBC, Fox, and CBS for not one but two of his award winning music and film projects entitled: HERO and MY MOTHER, 14 awards respectively. His project HERO – A Tribute to frontline healthcare workers, received a special acknowledgement from the highest office in the land, the White House of the United States of America, in 2 personal letters bearing the official presidential seal from our 46th President-elect: Joe Biden, and Vice President: Kamala Harris. His project entitled: “WHEN THE FIRE COMES” was a multiple award winning film. A reggae conscious song and film in love, unity, support and solidarity for Ukraine. His humanitarian film project entitled: “These Sad Times” – A reggae conscious song and film that addressed the serious issue of handgun violence and mass shootings in America, especially among our most vulnerable, children, received multiple awards below along with a special acknowledgement from the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival who invited him to attend as a special guest. From May of 2020 to present Richard has been assisting in the Covid-19 relief efforts for 4 contracted projects for New York City to which provided much-needed food relief/service for quarantined college students, elderly homebound seniors, the homeless and all low-income and unemployed families directly impacted and affected by Covid-19 Pandemic over 1 million plus meals for NYC. What’s even more noteworthy is that in the very midst of all of his service, this remarkable artist and humanitarian found the time and inspiration to write, compose and produce his many award winning film projects.
