Daphne Xourafi
Bio: Daphne Xourafi is a director, illustrator and animator born and based in Athens, Greece. She graduated from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens with a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Mass Media and a Master’s degree Msc in Animation & Vfx from the University of Dundee in the United Kingdom. She has collaborated with animation studios and digital & advertising agencies all over the world as a storyboard artist, animator and illustrator. ‘Mine’, her first animated short film, is about mental health and won as a pitch the support of the Greek Film Center and the Ministry of Culture in 2020. The film has been screened in schools and organizations about mental health all over Greece, has been screened on the Greek Parliament TV channel, on ERT Greek TV state channel as well as Ertflix streaming platform and has been selected and awarded by festivals all over the world.
