The Saakhelu Kiwe Kame is a ritual of the Nasa indigenous peoples of Colombia, which deals with the revitalization of mother earth in the context of global warming and post-conflict Colombia.

Mateo Leguizamón

(Bogotá-Colombia 1989)
Colombian photographer, journalist, designer and documentary filmmaker. Partner and founder of Aica Colectivo, an independent organization focused on the creation of research and visual and audiovisual content as a method of self-education, creation of memory and reflection. He has directed several national and international award-winning documentary projects with the indigenous and Afrodescendant communities of Colombia.

Spirit in the concrete

Ntuthuko goes home, from Johannesburg to the Vaal, in the exploration of spiritual healing and the relevance of practising in today’s society through his mother, Makhambule, and sister, Fundisile. This leads them to conversations of the family’s past that were never had and some forgotten.
Ntuthuko tells the tale of African spirituality from a sangoma’s son perspective and a young person who is living in this turbulent modern age trying to preserve a heritage that most have lost.

Kabadio – Time goes by slowly, barefoot

A deep dive into a new world, filled with rituals, music, magic, secrets, fascinating images and stories of real people who struggle to survive, keeping their traditions in the midst of a civil war and the smuggling of goods.
In the heart of Casamance (southern region of Senegal), a small Muslim village, which is a sort of mystical island protected by religious leaders called Marabus, the sound of drums lights the fire, dictating the fate of an uncertain future, where mysticism is the only protective shield.
We are in front of a large mirror. The mirror of the soul. Where you can touch the blowing wind; where you can feel the dried land under your feet just a few kilometers from the sea. Where you hear enlightened children’s laughing, spreading hope for those able to get close to them. Where time goes by slowly, barefoot.

Daniel Leite

Graduated in cinema at Université Lumière Lyon II (France), Daniel Leite began his career as a fashion photographer, signing several fashion editorials in Brazil and in France.
On television he signed the photography of several TV series: “Tudo Novo de Novo”, “Aline” and “Relógio da Aventura” (Channel Globo).
He was director and cinematographer of the Expedition – Schurmann Family (Uruguay, Argentina, Chile and Antarctica) and author, director and cinematographer of the TV serie “Surfe no Oeste da África“(Channel Off). He is the author, director and cinematographer of the feature film ‘Kabadio – Time goes by slowly, barefoot” (Filmed in southern Senegal) and cinematographer of the short film “Bodas”, screened at Cannes in 2016 edition.

I’m Burning

Renaissance, a challenge. The artistic project of the Valencian creators Miguel Arraiz and David Moreno, will cross the Atlantic to establish synergies with the most important ephemeral art event in the world, the Burning Man in the Nevada desert.

Andreu Signes Pérez

Andreu Signes holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication. He began his professional career in RTVV (Radio Televisión Valenciana) in different programs such as Tela Marinera, Fem Tele, Tómbola, Colp d’ull, sports and cultural broadcasts, work that he combined with graphic work in different art departments for films. Creator of the graphic design studio Aptitude Lab, specialized in web works and interactive video design, where he worked for 5 years.
Later he joined the team of the virtual studio of RTVV, where he worked for two and a half years, coordinating the team and directing the continuity of the channel 24/9 broadcast (24-hour news). During those years, he combines work with the direction of photography of short films and documentaries, some of which have been awarded at the Mostra de València. In 2011 he joined the audiovisual production company Barret as a member, and that is when he began his career as a producer, graphic designer and camera for transmedia documentaries for television and the internet, such as “Les Veus de la Memoria” on the effect of music therapy in Alzheimer’s patients that was broadcast on Documentos TV, interactive RTVE and RTVV; or the webdoc “catacombes.com”, an interactive documentary that explores the other side of Paris in the underground 30 meters below ground. He has also directed and produced the documentary for TV3, #NosaltresElsValencians, the television program “Un Pais de Llibre” and has worked as an art, graphics and camera director in the two seasons of the TV3 program, “Cosins Germans”. He also designed the webdoc “0responsables.com” and produced the documentary about the València subway accident in 2006, “La estrategia del silencio” He currently works as an interactive video designer at the Valencian startup PlayFilm, developing an advanced technology program for the creation of interactive videos. His last documentary work “I’m burning”. A personal project in which he has recorded for three years the project of artists Miguel Arraiz and David Moreno

KAYABIKE “Give us wheels, not wings”

The life, hopes and dreams of a kids and their BMX coach training in a South African township (Kayamandi), waiting for competition day. Throughout the process they will learn much more than just how to pedal. Kayamandi is a suburb of Stellenbosch in the Western Cape province of South Africa located off route R304. The name means “nice home” in the Xhosa language, from khaya meaning “home” and mnandi meaning “nice”.
KAYABIKE explores the use of biking as a way of personal development in the context of this South African suburb.

Mattia Trabucchi

I am an independent documentary filmmaker, traveler, dreamer and bicycle enthusiast … on the constant search for truth.
I entered the world of documentary film-making through curiosity using it as a tool for the exploration of reality, having traveled and lived extensively throughout Mediterranean Basin, Europe, Africa and North and South America.
Generally working alone, self-producing and self-funding my own projects, I am particularly interested in exploring environmental and social justice issues.
My first short film have covered the topic related with the perception of bicycle and conflicts generated in a city (A Piñón! 20′, 2011) and has been screened widely around the world. KAYABIKE is my second film and explore the use of bicycle as a way of personal development in an informal settlement in South Africa.

Tupinabá Lambido

Tupinambá Lambido is the name of a wheatpaste poster campaign conducted by a group of artists living and working in Rio de Janeiro. The posters created by the group adopt the large format (3.20 by 1.90 m) used for advertising shows and events in the city, but they subvert this popular media through the use of humor and wit to resist and protest against the coup d’état that led to the deposition of the brazilian President Dilma Rousseff in 2016

Lucas Parente
